I hear ya, I do. The bottom line here is that Luongo would want to stay in Vancouver so he would likely take another deal. 5 years at 30 million sounds perfect but things aren't as easy as they sound. It's hard to say what would happen but that's getting ahead a little bit. The NHL can void that contract but Luongo would still be a Canuck. It was the statement that if he wants more than he can walk....uh no bud. Last time I checked he's still a top 3-5 goalie in the league and the captain of the Canucks. You absolutely give the man what he wants as long as it doesn't mean giving up other pieces to fit him in. But again, getting to ahead of ourselves.
