the rangers don't get $8 mil from insurance, bure gets $8 mil from insurance...

the rangers owe bure $10 mil this year, so they get $8 mil from insurance and then give that $8 mil plus another $2 mil to bure...

so if another team picked up bure they would lose $2 mil for a guy that isn't going to play again
