Ryan Glenn

Well I watched Glenn play tonight. Not a bad game for him, his team won 3-1, against a better team. Not a good game to try and judge a players skills, as they only had 1 week of pratice, and it showed, lots of PP's on both sides.

Glenn played a lot and in all situations. Looked good out there. Mabe one great play, took the puck from his own end, rushed it up ice, made a smooth pass and the guy one touches it to a teamate who fires a pass up the middle for a sweet goal. Glenn didn't get the assist, as he would have been the 3rd assist, but it was some nice skating and a really good give and go.

But other then that he didn't do anything really well. Has good size and skating, was somewhat phyiscal, but he was way too soft on getting the puck out of the zone on the PK, almost cost a goal (it hit the post) and he had a goal scored on him but it was called off and a penalty to the other team for hooking.

Don't know where he fits in the Habs plans, but he is in the same boat as Matt Shasby, but not as skilled but more physical and perhaps better in his own end. Glenn's team isn't very good, but he's one of the better players on the team, and should get a lot of ice time this year. He might be worth signing this summer for a 6th or 7th guy in Hamilton. He seemed to be average in most areas, and played a somewhat safe and simple game, while showing somewhat of a physical side and a decent shot/pass. Skates well for his size, 6'2 207.
