So I got to thinking over the past week: if Romero and Bastardo can't come in and get lefties out, could we instead lean on whichever righty in our bullpen does best against left-handed batters? Well, go figure, it isn't pretty.

So, as much as they've struggled, having Romero and Bastardo come in and walk guys might actually be better than the alternative. Baez and Durbin are dreadful against lefties, Contreras gets hit pretty hard, and Madson and Lidge obviously have defined roles.
