Kudos to OP.

I find myself in the same situation and I do also find that the really good players in lower calibre pick-ups/drop-ins are pretty generous in general. I can vouch that setting up a newbie for a goal feels more rewarding than scoring a goal yourself. It gives you the same good feeling as you get from opening a door to an elderly or the like.

That being said, to be honest, I find the most ******* group are the ones from the intermediate level. The ones who sort of think they're a stud, but not exactly. Oh and don't get me started with roller players who transition to ice. For some reason, I've come across a lot of them in the past who think their roller-swagger holds the same weight when they get on the ice and they have the same high opinion of themselves.
