The Rangers had an out with Redden. They don't have it with Drury. We can only hope he rebounds this year though I have some doubts about that. Like I said--hopefully he rebounds. Anyway he's here for the next two years--some chance maybe he'd accept a trade at next year's deadline if the team is going nowhere.

On the question of him re-signing after that--it would depend I suppose on what kind of player he is two years from now. At this point in time I'm not going to guess. He will also be a +35 player then and it may be the Rangers have guys ready to break in and possibly better fits for those 3rd--4th line jobs.
