Did you use the back of the spoon? You have to pour it slow (or so I have watched), and keep the back of the spoon really close to the top of the drink. You also have to wait for the Blue Moon to settle before you pour in the Guinness. If you do that, you should get the separation in the pic that is posted in this thread.
