St. louis will be one of the teams spending at the cap. And will have as much freed up money as the next team to resign pronger. And from every indication from both sides , he will be back.

There were circumstances for those trades:

Gilmour: post babysitter **** charges

Cujo: Keenan era, in which he tried to run off all the stars of the blues.

Stevens: Compenstation for Shanahan restricted signing

Oates: Asked to be traded after trying to renegotiate mid contract.

Shanahan: Keenan trade

So as you can see, only a couple of these trades were really made trying to better the team.
