The defense showed good signs of supporting each other, and backing each other up in their own zone. So, it's not like they aren't working at it. Sometimes the communication looked quite good, in my opinion. They just seem to hold the puck too long sometimes, like they don't know what to do, and then the clock runs out and they turn it over. I actually yelled out loud at Gilroy when he had all kinds of time and then threw it to the blue line. Thank you very much said the Senators player.
It will improve as long as they recognize it as something to work on.

Eminger simply was outclassed. It's not like he is going to improve a lot, so therefore can be thought of as a weakness. I thought he was Exelby for a second but quickly remembered that that problem had already been eliminated.
