Actually Concordia had this "Industrial Experience" conference not too long ago.

Apparently Mechanical engineers are facing STIFF internal competition where apparently there is 1 job for every 7-8 students.

Whereas in the field of Computers (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, etc) there are 8-9 job per student.

I don't know if the number are accurate but that's kind of scary.
