19 assists is also a telling statistic. i'm just not impressed. 1.85mil (~2Mil after his bonuses) is not terrible, but wait until he needs to be re-signed this off season. i dont think he's worth a whole lot more than that. i may have contempt for him because i think he is grossly overrated. for a forward that has averaged ~48pts in the past 3 seasons (44, 44 & 50) and provides little of anything other than goals, he gets too much talk.

back on topic, fleury, dupuis, havlat, gaborik (and comrie, etc) have one thing in common: they have no leverage.
the bright side is, they dont get signed, walsh dont get paid
