Gotta love this kid. And his commitment to better himself, even off the ice. I was very impressed to find out that he spent a good portion of his summer in New York to train and take English classes.

When he hit a little bit of a lull at the mid-point of last season, I was worried he might be sent down to Hartford. But I'm glad the coaching staff stuck with him,and let him work through it. The last 15 games or so, you could really see the growth in his game at this level. Now we're witnessing all of that hard-work and persistence pay-off in a big way. I've said it before, and I'll say it again...I can see Anisimov reaching "datsyuk-lite" status. Based on his work ethic, his 2-way game can only get better from this point on.
