The Curious Case of Martin Havlat

What can the coaching staff do to get the most out of Havlat?

What we know:
- His career high of 29 goals, 77 points in Chicago was a byproduct of a very talented PP, and very very good depth. He is talented, but still he played in a conducive environment.
- He plays best with a center who does all the little things (David Bolland and Kyle Brodziak) and a power winger (Andrew Ladd and Guillaume Latendresse.) Both do the dirty work, go to the net, and create space.
- He seems to have chemistry with Matt Cullen, but has had a revolving door of wingers so far; Wellman, Clutterbuck, Latendresse.

So what is the key to getting the most out of him? Is it steady linemates? A productive Koivu line to draw the opponent's checkers? Playing the half wall on the PP?

A kick in the ass and a chip on his shoulder?
