I liked the Montreal because the blade had wood laminate over an ABS core and fiberglass reinforcement, so it was incredibly stiff and durable. The wood used was very light and had good flex to it. Corners were rounded for comfort, and the stick had a nice sanded wood finish, very soft to the touch. Much better construction, shooting, and durability compared to modern wood sticks.
those Franklin sticks I have are rounded at the top and give an awesome grip
