The entire reason why hockey skaters use rockered (curved) blades is because they allow for more maneuverability than skates with flat blades (like goalie skates).

If flat blades were good for hockey skaters in any way, shape, or form, everybody would have them. Skates with flat blades have been tried, they aren't as good for making the requisite skating moves as rockered blades are.

And I don't even want begin to picture the number of disatrous injuries that would come as a result of attaching a curved skating blade to a boot that is designed to separate from it.
