That is bat**** insane.

The average goals per game during Gretzky's 215 point season was 7.94. The average goals per game last year was 5.68.

To equal Gretzky's dominance a player would have had to score 153 points which, while not impossible, is definitely nothing that Giroux will ever even come close to. Hell, I'd say that 135 or 140 would be at Gretzky's level and that is still a herculean task as Sedin led the league with just 112.
