I think Subban is having a good year and he's developing the defensive side of his game. At the end of the day hes a D-man and needs to be as good as he can be in his own zone. IMO his offensive production has been good up to this point. "Cutting him loose" will lead to alot of unneccesary risks. I think he's pinching enough as it is. At times I feel he tries to do TOO much on offense and doesn't pass the puck when he should. He should take a page out of Markov's book and use his teammates more effectively. Don't get me wrong, he's having a great season, but these are some small issues I've noticed so far.
He's getting some great experience playing on the top defensive unit. He's a rookie who is successfully playing over 20 minutes a night, so I think Martin has done a decent job with him. We should be patient its not even 15 games into his rookie season...
