You know, his cheap contract (BTW, he makes a ton more $$ then you and I) is a good thing if we ever want to move him. It makes him easier to digest for a limited role on another team.
Bottom line, while he never got a defined role on any team he played on, his play never demanded it. If he was 5'10", he would already be playing in a German league.
There are a lot of prospects in the league. The ones that make it force the issue, they stand out. They cannot be ignored. They are the ones that become front line players.
I say, let Ryder or another lesser paid rookie/UFA take his spot. Learn to cut your losses when you still can, otherwise you have a team of overpaid under performing vets like Brisebois and Audette.
