And I will, NEVER, NEVER get over the Randy Jones debacle.
Everyone and their mother knew Randy Jones was not worth 2.75 million. Everyone and their mother knew Randy Jones needed to go when we desperately needed to shed salary cap space. At one point we didn't even have enough space to call up and dress 6 d-men. We had to send down Giroux in order to do so. We then had to trade Upshall with the ultimate goal being a few 100k in savings. And when Homer FINALLY realized his mistake and waived Jones, he attempted to bring him back on re-entry waivers and forfeited over 1 million in cap space that we couldn't afford to forfeit.
Completely, and utterly unacceptable. Everyone knew the contract was terrible when it happened. Everyone knew he should have been waived well before he was. And everyone knew he should have never been re-called.
Some mistakes are so completely, and utterly stupid, it's impossible for me to think highly of you anymore.
Edit: Matt Walker falls into this category for me as well.
