Based upon the results over the seven years it is clear that the AUS has the strongest league with four National titles in (2004-St. FX, 2007 and 2009 UNB and 2010 Saint Mary's), Canada West is the second strongest (Alberta winning three titles, 2005, 2006 and 2008) and the OUA the weakest with no titles.
If you took a look at the scores at Nationals and took it one step further built in shots it would further illustrate the point.
The oua has some fantastic hockey players at every position. Unfortunately with so many teams they just are too watered down with filler players when compared to the east and west. There is really no way to fix this. I just can't see how one school in the oua can put a team together to compete at this point. Mcgill seems good this year. But they really have no top teams in the oua east to compete against. Western looks good in the west. Lakehead is always a top team. Unfortunately they have taken a few steps back this year so I can't see them making any waves.
