If the TSN article is accurate, nothing positive resulted from the meeting. The main point of contention after the face-to-face is whether or not "formal" is a proper adjective to describe the meeting. It harkens back to the Vietnam "peace talks" where months were spent arguing the proper shape of the table. Negotiations centered around non-issues are a bad sign. It would be encouraging if the participants left the meeting talking about the merits of salary caps, luxury taxes, or free agency.
