Old, baggy nets?

Did anyone notice that the twine on the nets in tonight's game vs. Montreal was dingy and very baggy loose? They were like the nets from the eighties! Check out the highlight reel and you'll see it. On some close-ups of the goalies, the posts were visible and had large chips of red paint missing.

Any insight as to why this may be? I missed the first two periods while at work and I'm wondering if the announcers said anything. Could have something to do with the one that got through vs. Tampa Bay? Could the NHL be coming to its senses and returning to baggy nets? I always wondered why they made the nets tight in the nineties, causing pucks to bounce out quickly and causing controversy on goals.
