I believe you have to go with a #1 center in Brad Richards. He is a proven player in the regular season and also playoffs. He is only 30 years old so he probably has a good 5 years or so left...

This takes the pressure off of Stepan, AA and Boyle at the Center position. These young players can then develop at a good pace instead of forcing them into roles that are too much to handle for young players... Also, watching Richards for the next 5 years will only help these young players.

This would be a perfect situation
