6 min a night with 2 plugs isn't great for him obviously, but 10 to 12 mpg with Hansen and then either Glass or Torres (as well as some power play time) would be an excellent way to get a feel for the NHL game.

Not to mention he would likely outplay the dreg we have had centering the 4th line to this point.
And that has to be the #1 consideration down the stretch and into the playoffs. The Canucks icing the best possible roster absolutely takes precedent over anything else IMO.

Not to mention it'll give Hodgson a leg up next season if he gets some NHL time this year. Even if he's called up, doesn't perform and has to be sent back down at least he'll know what to expect the next time around and be better prepared for the transition.
