Desharnais would take Darche's role if anyone's, not Pyatt. Pyatt IS valuable on the PK, he's used a lot there and does very well. Our PK is #2 in the league above 90%, you don't break what's working because the forward that's the most used on it and that plays on our 4th line is not scoring.
But either way, I don't really see him coming up right now. MaxPac would have a lot better chance of being called up to replace an offensive winger role. He's producing as much as Desharnais in Hamilton, is younger, faster, a lot bigger, and a natural winger, not to mention a 1st round pick (I don't care, but all teams do). Why would they call up DD over him unless we need a center role?
