My bag is nearly 20 years old, so at some point, no matter how good I am about airing stuff out and washing things, it's going to smell. It could be worse, though.

Basically the only stuff that smells is the stuff I've had for ages. Cooper shoulder pads smell a bit. My 12 year old gloves reek. 15 year old pants smell a bit. Otherwise everything else is not too bad, as it gets aired out right away.

My Cooper shin pads that I got rid of last season were awful, but that's the piece of my equipment that gets the most sweat-soaked, and they were ancient. The fact that they even lasted that long is a testament to taking care of stuff and airing it out.
