I like the thought of it too. I think that if Grebs can become an average in zone defender then his offense will make him a major part of the team. I never expected him to be a Blake or Pronger, Lindstrom would have been nice but it's clear that Grebs doesn't have the positional game of a Lindstrom (that being said, Denis, if you'd like to surprise us and break out consistent Norris Trophy form I won't complain). All in all Grebeshkov looks like an important piece of the puzzle, but he's not a keystone. All the complaining about Grebs' defense could easily be turned into critiques of Gleason's not using all his offensive skills. Either way I think they're both young defensemen who will be special parts of the puzzle but I'm not sure they're in that rare, dominating player category. That's fine, not everybody can be. But a really good offensive defenseman who can cover himself would be a welcome addition. I think Grebs needs some more time to just injest information.
