He'd be an excellent fit on the third line with Handzus, and it would bump Clifford down to the fourth line where he belongs. Sturm can perform well on the PK, and used to be a major shorthanded threat - now he's good for about a SH goal per season.

Sturm was overexposed on the first line in Boston last season; he really never should have been there in the first place. If the Kings think that Sturm is the solution to their first line LW problems, they're sadly mistaken, but this is the Kings we're talking about here so he'll probably be dropped right in there with Kopitar right away and in a month or two I'm sure I'll see a ton of posts about what a bust Marco Sturm turned out to be. He's had a fine career, but he's an old 32.
