What is also very cool is that Austin Levi was under consideration as well as Mark Alt for Carolina. With any luck, we could have had 4 of the Top 6 defenders for Team USA this year.

I am excited for Brian Dumoulin, but even more for Justin Faulk. I think anybody in our fanbase that hasn't seen him this season is going to be in for a real surprise. He leads the Nation in goals by a freshman defender with 5 and has 12 points in 16 games on the year while leading the #2 ranked UMD Bulldogs in plus minus at +13.

He's going to be a staple on the first PP unit likely with a guy like Derek Forbort. Dumoulin, as well as the two other Boston College defenders on the preliminary roster, should be in more shut down roles.

I think Faulk has what it takes to be a really big break out player at the games this year.
