Just because you lose a series, doesn't mean you had no heart. Anybody that watched the Leafs series and the first 4 games against ottawa last year knows that this was a completely different team than the one that layed down against Ottawa the year before.

The team was spent after the incredible victory in game 4 last year. They come out and score the first goal, and that goal to Smolinski in just incredibly deflating. When you know that you're overmatched and have to work so hard to score your goalie CANNOT allow weak goals like that.

Unless you've ever played the game you can't understand how demoralizing it is to an underdog when your goalie gives up cheap goals.
