I don't care for the show's season finales. They cram a bunch of arc backstory into one episode and call it a finale. Without being emotionally vested in the storyline, as if it were generated slowly over a season, it's tough to get drawn in and care. The dialogue and interplay between Shawn and the other characters--especially Gus--is the best part of the show. The finales reduce that to a minimum to fit in the other fluff of a traditional finale and as such, it's less fulfilling as the regular silly episodes.
