Mats has been incredibly consistent and has produced virtual the same points at 28 then he did at 33 years old. While the NHL points have dropped off over that time with the trap systems and bigger goalies etc..

1997-98 .. 82 games .. 33g .. 41a .. 74 points
1998-99 .. 82 games .. 31g .. 52a .. 83 points
1999-00 .. 73 games .. 32g .. 41a .. 73 points
2000-01 .. 82 games .. 28g .. 46a .. 74 points
2001-02 .. 82 games .. 41g .. 39a .. 80 points
2002-03 .. 75 games .. 37g .. 35a .. 72 points
2003-04 .. 81 games .. 31g .. 44a .. 75 points

So now with a year off and a healthy Mats you think he is going to drop off all of a sudden .. ??
