I think Leighton will clear waivers. If he does, he can go to Adirondack. Except for Backlund, there aren't any real NHL prospects there. Riopel is the longest of longshots.
Let Leighton play in the AHL and get back in shape. Then he can be a Black Ace in the playoffs, with Walker and Syvret.
IIRC, he can be recalled to the Flyers on an emergency basis without clearing waivers, if Bob or Boosh get hurt, so there's no risk of losing him on recall waivers.
