He may well have proven that he has a tremendous upside. He did not prove that he was a top 4 nhl defenseman. He may be, but he is not right now and last season did not prove that he was. That is the only question that needs to be answered for the Washington Capitals. They have a nice pack of defensive prospects and they have a norris trophy candidate. What they are missing are 4 defenseman who are capable of playing in the NHL RIGHT NOW with Gonchar and Witt. Seidenberg may be great in a couple years, but the Caps are looking for a right now player.
