The Rangers don't need Beauchemin. They do not need a stay at home D with a $3.8M cap hit next season. The Rangers need a LD who can move the puck and provide some offense. Help out on the PP. Not signed for next season. Tomas Kaberle is the only D on Toronto who fits that description. The Leafs fans have unrealistic expectations for any return on Kaberle who will be a group III this summer. Kaberle will be a rental. Unless it's a big forward(Hossa/Kovalchuk) being moved, first round picks are not traded for rentals. Top prospects aren't traded for rentals. Why haven't the Leafs re-signed Kaberle?

There is nothing of interest on the Leafs roster besides Kaberle as a RENTAL(second round pick and maybe a mid-level prospect). Torts will really work with well with the two Russian forwards on the Leafs?
