How about we let him relax, get his game adjusted to the NHL, improve a little. The kid performed well in lower level hockey. I can't imagine that someone scoring 50+ points in the AHL would be completely without skill. And from what I saw, he can skate, he can shoot and he can make the breakout pass.
If we let him mature, the kid can be a solid player.
I don't know? Should he be a ppg player, knocking guys out with one punch to be noticeable?? For a 4th liner with limited minutes he's looked ok for the most part. I rather have a 22 yr old that put up 28 goals last year than some non-physical AHL fodder in his current role with the Rangers.
