-solid season ticket base (I haven't been keeping track lately, but last I heard, 15,000 was within reach?)
-new affiliate agreement has Roadrunners' owner Lyle Abraham covering all of the Oilers' AHL costs, which should save the team roughly $2 million.
-the Heritage Classic (unless forced indoors by weather) will produce substantially more revenue than an average home game.
-Comrie's goofy contract is off the books!

With or without playoff revenue, the Oilers are just fine.
Makes sense. Although playoff revenue doesn't hurt.
