The suspension is because he's a repeat offender. That's what I read on the Tennessean. It was either in the article or in the comments. I am truly amazed at this suspension though. Nothing on Hossa in the playoffs last year on Hamhuis. Nothing on Allen for jumping Tootoo from behind on a completely legal hit on Frolik. Nothing for Boll for jumping into a scrum at the end of the last Columbus game. There is no rhyme or reason for these sorts of suspensions. Star players get away with lots of stuff because of their star power. Remember Pronger getting 8 games for stepping on someone but Simon got 25 games for basically the same offense? Until the league mandates the same rules for everyone across the board, this will continue to baffle all of us fans.
