The Hawks would be all over some of these proposals, especially with Seabrook due for a new contract this summer. If players like a Bogosian or Del Zotto were being offered, I don't see why Chicago wouldn't take either of those deals in a heartbeat. Sure, Bogo and MDZ are struggling... but they're also both only 20, cheap, and have great upsides still. That's way too young to even argue that "they need a change of scenery".

I'm not disputing that Seabrook will command a hefty return, but if Bowman is able to acquire a young, future top unit dman who have the ability to become just as good, if not more valuable, than Seabrook in a couple years (like Bogosian or MDZ), along with other assets (as both posters were suggesting) than all the credit to Bowman, especially if you factor in the cap space he would also save themselves.
