Has anyone watched Doughty play this season? We would be nuts to do a Parise for Doughty swap straight up, let alone a 1st overall pick in with it.

Malkin isn't the same Hart trophy winner he was two years ago and this would bend the Devils over to do a trade like this. Parise will never go to the same conference....ever.

There is no package that this would work for as it would cost to much to give up to someone else. It would make much more sense to trade them seperately as that is the best way to maximize value. I would say Parise for Johnson and a prospect from LA and 1st overall for Eberle and a prospect would be a better return than just Malkin or Doughty.

There is a salary cap people and this must be taken into consideration
