Yeah...he also isn't signed past this season whereas Orpik has another 3 years left at a very reasonable cap hit.
If we're talking just for this year and not beyond. I still wouldn't make this deal because the difference between Seabrook and Orpik isn't nearly enough to cover the difference between Staal and Bolland.
Just because Seabrook is awesome, doesn't mean he has full value to the Pens. His impending RFA status and the Pens depth on defence (Martin, Michalek, Letang, Goligoski) mean that he isn't a need but a luxury.
We need top 6, scoring wingers...if you have good ones that are available, then we can talk about moving Staal. Otherwise, move along.
