Stamkos never got the icetime that Hall is getting right now in his rookie season. There are so many other factors when comparing Stamkos to Hall that I can't believe you're making that comparison.

Isn't it obvious that you would swap Fraser and Edler?. The Canucks wouldn't be in bad shape. They'd still have Hamhuis, Ballard. and Ehrhoff as Defense men. Their fourth line would terribly be better overnight and with some added depth through free agency they could go deep into the playoffs. Same goes with the Oilers. To many fourth liners, not enough defense men. They can afford to lose Edler for Fraser.

I don't understand how you came up with that logic. It's nothing similar to what I was saying, and comparing the difference between Hall and Schenn to the difference between Fraser and Edler is frankly appalling. I think where you went wrong with your analogy is the needs of both teams. You are right in saying that the Canucks need a fourth line center, but that is minor compared to the Oilers need for more defense. In fact, the importance of a fourth line center is way less than having good defense. I'd say that my comparison of needing more offense and defense is much more accurate.
