D prospect Jonathan Blum (8.0B)
Nashville's 1st round pick 2011
New Jersey's 2nd rd pick 2011 (belonging to Nashville; 31st overall)

Blum, Jared Cowen and David Rundbland all NHL-ready for 2011/12 with top 4 D potential. They join 20 year-old all star D man Karlsson to cement the back end. Ottawa gains 9 million in cap space for free agents. Nashville wins Stanley Cup with Sens top two leaders, including the husband of Nashville's Carrie Underwood.
I'd do this as a Sens fan. As much as I hope Alfie never get traded and retires into a front office job, I'm a big proponent of a re-build. I wouldn't mind seeing a couple of years of lottery picks, and for that matter, as many early round draft picks as possible. I'm not a fickle fan, and will continue to proudly support my losing team (hey, I'll feel like a Leafs fan for a couple of years).

Build through the draft like we did in the 90's.

Give us Belak and/or Goc or whoever you want whose contract doesn't have more than 1 year remaining after this season.
