Uh, OK. Glad you know what I think. Toronto has had elite players in the past on many occassions. Currently, not so much, IF they had Weber, it would be the case again unless they Phaneufed him (though the Phaneufing of Phaneuf actually happened in Calgary before he came to Calgary).

Schenn could be an elite Dman in the league someday.....he is certainly their best right now.

Far from a double standard, it is reality. A double standard would be assuming the trade market for Weber and Versteeg would even be remotely related. One of those players has many equivalent options each and every year. The other is a Dman of calibre very rarely available on the market.
