Honestly outside of there 1st year when Steeger was getting consistant top 6 minutes they have put up similiar #'s and this year Brouwer is playing as well as Steeger with far less ice time

As for the better player that is debatable and Versteeg is only 10 months younger then Brouwer so it is not that big of a difference
Like I said, I like Brouwer and would take him on the Leafs any day. But I wouldn't trade Versteeg for him. I think Versteeg is being underrated here. How many 24 year olds are on pace for 55 points on a WEAK offensive team who, also, will be a RFA (not a UFA) after next season?

In regards to Brouwer, what else would the Hawks be looking for from the Leafs other than Versteeg? Gunnarsson, Damigo + ?
