New user around these parts and I thought I would contribute to this thread.

If you guys are looking for a good time with affordable drinks and a good ambiance, I would suggest Taverne Normand on the Plateau.

A little information about the place :

Every table has a sign on it with the name of a player on the Habs roster. If said player scores a goal during the game, free shooters to everyone sitting at that table.

I think the place looks great, not too expensive (especially for a bar located on the Plateau), and the people know how to have good fun.

I'll be there with ~20 people on the 12th against the Loafs. Hopefully some of you guys give the bar a try soon!
