Seriously. Torts has said a number of times that it takes around 250 NHL games for a defenseman to develop fully. How much more of a beast is Staal than he was in his first year? Second year? Last year? It's cliche, but this year Marc really became an all-star.

DZ is 5 games away from being HALFWAY there. I know 250 is an arbitrary and imperfect number, but I'll gladly take Torts' word for it above anyone else's. Give it time, people.
