Honestly, I don't think much of Julien since last year's end of season.
Why was Julien brought in last year (and Therrien replaced)? I thought it was to bring life to the team so that we could make the playoffs... What happened? Nothing, actually we were losing even more badly than with Therrien. What do we learn over the summer? That Julien's excuse is that he kept the same system, didn't implement a new system, etc. Well here comes back my question... Why did he think (Julien) he was hired??? He should have made anything he could to make the playoffs, including switching the play system if that's what he thought the team needed. Otherwise he should have declined the job and say that he would take over the summer. Anyway I think about it, there's something that is missing in that story.
My only conclusion can be that Julien's first idea was that he didn't need to change the system, and then because it didn't work out he's saying that it was a fluke, he didn't want to change the system back then, blablabla...
I think there will be one of two scenarios. First scenario is that Bob Gainey makes a clean-up of undesirable players, bad leaders and whiners, then we get to see what Julien can do. Second scenario is that he cans Julien and then in the off-season Bob Gainey will make a clean up and the new coach will get a real chance next year.
