Hmm, I don't know how well Handzus would fit into the system in Edmonton. While he may put up good numbers in the East, people fail to realize that Handzus is not a good skater at all. He's pretty poor at best. He's slow and it sometimes seems like he's skating in quick sand. He'll always be a trailer on the offensive rush in Edmonton. As well, we Philadelphia fans can tell you that he's poor on faceoffs. His faceoffs won percentage is low.
I think we often overrate Handzus because the system he played in was geared towards hankering down on the defensive side of the game at the expense of offense. With the new era being ushered in, it looks like the defensive side of the game will be expendable while the offensive game is made into the priority.
