He's not spectacular in any way but has the potential to play in the bottom six - if all goes well, he could be a top six one day too. Long way to go though.
If Lee end up with the 45-55 points he's on pace for and ND does some damage in the playoffs, we could see him signed this summer.
Slightly overaged or not, his play to date seems to indicate that another year in the NCAA MAY not be the best route to go.
ND would love it though...
Saw Shane Sims today for Ohio State. I predict he'll be signed and play some NHL games before the regular season's done. He reminds me of Martinek, maybe a taller Jack Hillen. Good skater, smart, confident, very good hockey sense. Not bad for a 5th rounder over 4 years ago!
Where is Dice??? He used to sing this kids' tune all the time.
Never seen him play, but if they feel he can even be another Kohn-type prospect, then get him on board, especially considering the likelihood that Gervais and Reese will be allowed to walk this summer.
He reminds you of Martinek???
If they share THAT sentiment, then there's no question about it: they'll sign the kid.
Also, Gregoire scored another goal and assist today. I believe this kid will play in the NHL. He knows how to score goals and has an NHL shot. Reminds me of Bergenheim but much better scorer and much smarter offensive player.
If the Isles feel that 4th/5th rounder Gregoire has Bergenheim-like possibilities, he'll be brought into the fold. Good to see that he came back from the injury, got himself going and is now at over a PPG clip. It definitely looks like this kid is that team's leader.
I think most of us have felt for a few years now that Gregoire will at least be signed. I do however see him going all 4 years at UofND.
